Dr. Silverman holds the Mal and Lea Bank Chair, Department of Cancer Biology, Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. His research interests include antiviral innate immunity mediated by RNase L (a uniquely-regulated nuclease) and the role of viruses and genes in prostate cancer. He received his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and his doctorate at Iowa State University.
