Dr. Sen is Chairman of the Department of Molecular Biology at the Lerner Research Institute, at the Cleveland Clinic. He is also professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine in Cleveland and serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Dr. Sen obtained his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from McMaster University, Hamilton Ontario, Canada, in 1974. Dr. Sen was awarded a Medical Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship for the period of 1974-77, which was spent at the lab of Dr. Peter Lenyel at the Yale University. He is the author of over 140 publications, reviews and book chapters, and has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Interferon & Cytokine Research. Dr. Sen also serves on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Biological Chemistry, Virology and Journal of Virology.
