Dr. Haller is a full pr ofessor and director of the Department of Virology at the University of Freiburg in Frieburg Germany. His research team focuses on Mx Proteins as large GTPases involved in host defense against RNA viruses, identification and characterization of cellular interaction partners of Mx GTPases, and functional characterization of the nonstructural protein NSs of Rift Valley Fever Virus as an interferon antagonist subverting innate immunity.
Dr. Rathinam received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Madras Veterinary College, India and PhD from Michigan State University in 2009.
Dr. Sonnenberg completed his doctoral research training at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine in 2011, focusing on mucosal immunology.
